Frequently Asked Questions

What is the AAEA Africa Scholarship Fund?

AAEA’s mandate is to support the growth of the Actuarial profession in East African region through three pillars:

  1. University Support
  2. Tutorials for actuarial professional papers
  3. Mentorship program for university students and early career professionals

To support the second and third pillars, we are reaching out to East African students who need support to be able to do the professional papers. This is informed by an industry survey which showed that it’s impossible for a graduate to get an entry level position (internship/attachment) without a minimum of two professional papers.
