At Actuarial Academy of East Africa, we believe that education should know no boundaries. We're committed to fostering a new generation of actuaries who will drive innovation, influence decision-making, and create positive change in Africa and beyond. Our Africa Scholarship Fund has been established with the aim of breaking down financial barriers and making high-quality actuarial education accessible to talented individuals from all walks of life.
Scholarship Opportunities
The Africa Scholarship Fund offers scholarships to deserving students who are passionate about pursuing a career in actuarial science. These scholarships cover a range of actuarial courses, resources, and support, ensuring that financial constraints never hinder their educational journey.
Eligibility Criteria

The Africa Scholarship Fund is open to enthusiastic individuals who meet the following criteria:

  • Demonstrate a strong interest in actuarial science and a commitment to contributing to the field.
  • Show academic excellence and a drive to excel in their studies.
  • Display leadership potential, community involvement, and a desire to make a positive impact.
Why Give to Actuarial Scholarship Fund?

The Actuarial Academy of East Africa’s key mandate is to support the growth of the Actuarial profession in East African region through three pillars:

  1. University Support
  2. Tutorials for actuarial professional papers
  3. Mentorship program for university students and early career professionals

To support the second and third pillars, ASF has been catered for East African students who need support to be able to do the professional papers. This is informed by an industry survey which showed that it’s impossible for a graduate to get an entry level position (internship/attachment) without a minimum of two professional papers.

By supporting ASF, you will not just be investing in individual students – you will be investing in the future of actuarial science in Africa. We believe that diverse perspectives and talents are essential for driving innovation and solving complex challenges, and we’re committed to creating opportunities that empower aspiring actuaries to thrive.
