CHRISTINE WAWEWU BIO:

Christine is a Fellow of the Institute and Faculty of Actuaries with nine years of experience in the insurance industry, currently specializing in cyber risk analytics. She began her career as an Actuarial Analyst at Deloitte Kenya, where she provided advisory services to insurers and banks. She later joined PwC UK as an Actuarial Consultant, working on a range of projects including reserving, IFRS 17 implementation, financial modeling, and other strategic initiatives within the general insurance space. It was during this time that Christine developed a strong interest in cyber risk quantification, prompting her to shift her professional focus toward cyber risk analytics.

Currently, Christine serves as a Cyber Actuary at CyberCube Analytics, where she specializes in quantifying cyber risk at both a catastrophic and single-risk level. Her work plays a critical role in driving innovation within the cyber insurance market, supporting insurers in risk assessment, pricing optimization, and portfolio management strategies. She has also contributed to the development of cutting-edge solutions for cyber insurance, helping insurers navigate the rapidly evolving cyber risk landscape.

Christine holds a Bachelor’s degree in Actuarial Science from Strathmore University and a Master’s degree in Actuarial Management from Bayes Business School. Beyond her professional role, she is passionate about mentoring aspiring actuaries and remains dedicated to shaping the future of cyber risk management within the insurance industry.
