Actuarial Academy of East Africa (AAEA) is holding an online discussion on key design factors to be considered when designing models for actuarial teams.

The Webinar session will be driven by Alvin Ngugi.

Alvin is a Fellow of the Institute and Faculty of Actuaries (FIA) with more than 10 years’ experience in the consulting, banking, life insurance and micro insurance industries.

He is a Senior Actuary at Dial An Actuary Limited, a professional services firm that offers actuarial expertise on demand across the actuarial, data analytics and research pillars as well as performance optimisation to both private and public sector organizations. Dial An Actuary provides its services in Africa, Europe and North America.

In his years of experience, Alvin has led teams of actuaries assisting clients with various projects including portfolio management, reserving, pricing, and product development as well as other actuarial risk management topics such as the Internal Capital Adequacy Assessment Process (ICAAP) and Own Risk and Solvency Assessment (ORSA).
