Mukami Njeru has been elected to join the board of the Institute and Faculty of Actuaries (IFoA) Council.
The results of the 2023 Council Elections were announced at the IFoA’s Annual General Meeting, which was held in-person and streamed online yesterday.
Mukami is one of the eight members that were elected to the vacant General constituency seats. There were 18 candidates that stood for election. The other elected members are: Nico Aspinall; Cherry Chan; Matthew Edwards; Richard Galbraith; Janet Moss; Katie Sokolowski; and Peter Tompkins.
Four members were elected to the vacant Scottish constituency seats: Simon Jones; Melanie Puri; Alan Rae; and Sandy Trust.
Mukami joined IFoA Council 3 years ago and was eligible for re-election. She is a Kenyan fellow member of the IFoA and The Actuarial Society of Kenya (TASK), and is a Chartered Enterprise Risk Actuary (CERA). She is the Head of Actuarial and Insurance Management Services, West Market Area at PwC and Director of Actuarial Academy of East Africa (AAEA).
